Welcome

No one goes into the arts because they want to do administration. People go into the arts to share their passion, love and joy! Admin is the stuff we all hate to do – let Emily help you, by doing the boring stuff, so you can get on with the fun creative stuff!
Admin for the Arts was created in 2019, after Emily sought to combine her love of music and the arts with her natural aptitude for administration and event management.
Having worked with numerous not-for-profit organisations and committees, Emily knows how much time, good will and hard work goes into running a music or arts organisation. Administrative tasks often take valuable time away from what the organisation really wants to be doing – something creative!
Let Emily help you, by doing all the boring tasks, so you can get on with being a musician, an artist, a teacher or other creative type! Admin for the Arts offers once off, or ongoing administrative and events management services. Admin for the Arts can help you with all sorts of things from newsletter creation, mailing list and data management, music library assistance, web maintenance, social media support, membership management, and so much more!

With over a decade of experience with non-profit music associations, Emily is a seasoned music administrator and event manager. Through her business, Admin for the Arts, Emily collaborates with a diverse range of music organisations, bringing a strong, people-centered approach to her work.

Emily is skilled in all areas of administration and particularly enjoys managing concerts, festivals, and other events that bring communities together through music. With many years of experience in voluntary Executive Director and School Council roles, Emily is acutely aware of the extensive effort required to run a non-profit.

Emily has also worked in schools and libraries in both paid and voluntary capacities. As a performer, she has sung and played with various ensembles including chamber groups, orchestras, choirs and vocal ensembles. Emily has a life-long association with Young Voices of Melbourne, one of Australia’s premiere choral programs for young people. Emily has been a chorister, a tutor, a parent, and is now delighted to work with the choir as their administrator.

Emily is a passionate advocate for music education and equity, firmly believing that all young people deserve equitable access to quality music education.

2024 has included two large projects that Emily is particularly proud of: a five-week Australian tour by an international VIP presenter and the four-day Kodály Australia Conference held in Naarm/Melbourne.

Emily is wonderful to work with. She is smart, organised and efficient. She understands the needs of arts organisations, and we love having her as part of the Young Voices of Melbourne team.

Should you be seeking a loyal and industrious administration professional, with a passion for the performing arts, you will find that person in Emily. I had the benefit of working with Emily for several years and think highly of the outcomes we achieved together.

Emily is smart and skilled and very easy to work with. Try her for your admin and events. You won’t be sorry!
